About

A cooperative for music education software.

Musical Apps Coop is an educational technology cooperative founded by educators, developers, and musicians who believe that technology should serve learning — not exploit it.

01 / Who we are

A cooperative grounded in classroom experience.

We are a cooperative created by professionals with extensive experience in music education, software development, and digital pedagogy.

Our work is grounded in real classroom experience and a deep respect for learners and educators. The cooperative is currently in its founding phase; team members will be identified by name and role on this page as the public launch approaches.

02 / Why a cooperative model

Education technology requires shared responsibility.

We chose the cooperative model because education technology requires responsibility, transparency, and shared decision-making. Unlike traditional startups driven by rapid growth and data extraction, our structure allows us to prioritize pedagogy, ethics, and long-term sustainability.

Our ethical principles are explained in detail in our Ethical EdTech framework.
